We are restoring the H-12 Sumy-Poltava highway

The russian army has begun attacking the P-46 Sumy–Kharkiv highway. The most dangerous section is near Bohodukhiv, which is located just 20 kilometres from the border.
As a result, some transport operators have switched to an alternative route – the H-12 Sumy–Poltava highway.
During 2020–2021, Automagistral-Pivden carried out routine and major repairs on several sections of the H-12 highway between Sumy and Okhtyrka.
After the liberation of the Sumy region during the war, we also restored a section of the H-12 highway within the town of Trostianets.
However, the final stretch leading to the border with the Poltava region remained unrepaired. For more than 30 years, only emergency pothole repairs had been carried out there.
Currently, our company is performing routine repairs on approximately 13.6 kilometres of the highway. The existing pavement is being milled to a depth of 2–2.5 cm, followed by the placement of an 8 cm asphalt concrete levelling layer.
The work is being carried out under conditions of ongoing power outages, which affect the consistency of asphalt concrete production. Nevertheless, the project is scheduled for completion in July.
