Construction and operation
Over the course of its history, Automagistral-Pivden has built and rehabilitated more than 5,000 km of roads, delivering over 500 road construction projects.
In 2020–2021, the company completed 800–900 km of road rehabilitation annually. For many years, it held a 20–25% share of Ukraine’s road construction market, operating across most regions of the country.
On its projects, Automagistral-Pivden delivers the full scope of works – from earthworks through to the installation of asphalt concrete pavement layers.
The most prominent large-scale projects of that period include:
– the modern high-speed international highway H-31 between Kyiv and Dnipro;
– the country’s longest highway, M-30 “Stryi – Izvaryne” (with 260 km of rehabilitated sections);
– the 10-lane Stepan Bandera Avenue in Kyiv.
In 2022–2025, road construction projects in Ukraine were largely suspended. During this period, Automagistral-Pivden focused on emergency repairs within routine maintenance contracts, as well as on constructing access roads to restored bridges.
In 2025, the company launched the capital repair of the M-09 highway section between Lviv and the Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne border crossing. The project is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The M-09 is a key route connecting Kyiv and Warsaw and forms part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). The section under rehabilitation extends for 33.4 km, from Volia-Vysotska village to the border crossing.
Between 2019 and 2026, the company has also been implementing road reconstruction and new construction projects in Moldova.
In Romania, the company is delivering a road rehabilitation project in Transylvania in 2024–2025. The construction of a 33.7 km section of the “Arad – Oradea” expressway is scheduled to begin in 2027.
The company has experience in constructing several cement concrete roads. The largest project is the H-14 “Kropyvnytskyi – Mykolaiv” highway. The cement concrete section opened in 2021 is 66 km long, with a final pavement layer thickness of 26 cm.
In 2022, the company completed the capital repair of a section of the T-26-08 road at the Ukrainian–Romanian border. The former gravel road was transformed into a modern cement concrete highway. The section is 7.4 km long.
