M-05 Kyiv–Odesa Highway: the second stage of completing the VITA-POSHTOVA interchange has begun!

In the summer of 2025, our company completed the first stage of construction of the interchange in Vita-Poshtova — the tunnel and the roundabout on the side of Boyarka city.

Drivers can now safely turn or make a U-turn toward Kyiv.

Recently, the client has given “the green light” for the implementation of the second part of the project — a two-level interchange (“the horseshoe”) for U-turns toward Odesa.

The implementation of this second part will finally make it possible to remove the signal-controlled intersection in Vita-Poshtova near the Southern Cemetery, which has been the cause of numerous accidents.

The Azerbaijani contractor who began building the “horseshoe” back in 2021 left behind installed bored piles and several columns.

We already saw the “quality” of the work performed by our Azerbaijani colleagues when working on the tunnel interchange.

For several months we had to blush while restricting traffic on the Odesa highway in order to restore the monolithic slab left behind by our predecessors.

Therefore, our specialists decided to dismantle the central column of the “horseshoe,” which bears the main load. We will build a new, high-quality one.

Several other columns will be restored.

Construction of the “horseshoe” will start with building the abutment and intermediate supports on the Boyarka side.

Because of the new abutment, the exit from Vita-Poshtova onto the Odesa highway will need to be shifted; we will create a new access road closer to the built-up area.

The distance is minimal, so instead of a slope, we will construct a retaining wall. We are currently constructing its foundation.
