Crushed Stone from Khmelnytskyi Region for the Reconstruction of the R-34 Highway in Moldova!
This year, Automagistral-Pivden and the State Road Administration of Moldova signed a contract for the reconstruction of a 42-kilometer section of the R-34 highway. https://www.facebook.com/automagistral/posts/1171904568314225?locale=ru_RU
Preparing for the start of works, our company is establishing a new production base near the city of Cahul, close to the Romanian border. This site will house a concrete batching plant and a soil-mixing unit.
While working in Moldova, we previously used inert materials primarily from Romania. For the R-34 reconstruction project, we plan to supply crushed stone from the Khmelnytskyi region of Ukraine for the first time.
Moldovan railway workers have restored a section of the railway from the Ukrainian border to the Romanian border (Basarabeasca – Iargara – Prut 2 – Cahul), which had been out of use for over 5 years. They have restored cargo ramps and provided two locomotives.
A test run of a freight train weighing 3,000 tons was successfully completed (out of 32 wagons, 12 belonged to Automagistral-Pivden). https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1308458591327428&id=100064898971419
In total, we plan to deliver 300,000 tons of crushed stone from Ukraine to Moldova.
We have repeatedly stated that the expansion of Automagistral-Pivden into European markets is significant for the entire Ukrainian economy. It opens a window of opportunity for our partners—suppliers of materials and services. Ukraine as a whole is expanding its export niches, increasing export revenues, and strengthening economic integration with European countries. The start of Ukrainian crushed stone deliveries to Moldova is a clear confirmation of this.
As a reminder, the 42-kilometer section scheduled for reconstruction is located between the cities of Cahul and Cantemir along the border with Romania.
