Traffic Opened on the Vulcănești Bypass, Part of the M3 Highway

Three Months Ahead of Schedule: Traffic Opened on the Vulcănești Bypass, Part of the M3 “Chișinău – Comrat – Giurgiulești – Romanian Border” Highway!
The official opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, State Secretary for Road Infrastructure Nicolae Mindra, EBRD representative Alexandru Hronika, General Director of AND Ștefan Popa, as well as representatives of Automagistral-Pivden.
“For the residents of the city, this means a higher level of safety and comfort on the streets, less noise and pollution thanks to diverting heavy trucks outside the city, as well as better protection of the urban road network,” emphasized Minister Vladimir Bolea.
“For many years, an intensive traffic flow passed daily through Vulcănești, negatively affecting road safety, infrastructure, and the quality of life of residents. The opening of the bypass means improved safety, reduced congestion, shorter travel time to the south of the country, and better connectivity between the capital, the border checkpoint and the Port of Giurgiulești,” noted Ștefan Popa.
As reported by to the National Road Administration of Moldova (AND), works on the bypass began in August 2023 and were completed THREE MONTHS ahead of schedule thanks to the efficient performance of the contractor — Automagistral-Pivden.
