High-speed Motorway H-31 “Dnipro – Tsarychanka – Kobeliaky – Reshetylivka”

Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine
State: Finished

H-31 is the first Ukrainian highway built in the era of independence. It is a Category I road with four traffic lanes, designed to connect the country’s largest cities – Kyiv and Dnipro.

Since 2017, within Dnipropetrovsk region, Automagistral-Pivden has constructed more than 28 km of new roadway and dozens of engineering structures.

In 2021, the company completed the construction of two interchanges and a 100-meter bridge over the “Dnipro–Donbas” canal. The bridge connected an already completed section of the highway with a 30-km stretch planned to extend to the border of Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions.

In 2022, traffic was opened on the H-31 section from the city of Dnipro to the Dnipro–Donbas canal. At the same time, due to the war, the client suspended the implementation of the second phase of the project.

The construction of H-31 includes more than 8 million cubic meters of earthworks and the construction of 27 engineering structures. The project includes a 600-meter viaduct built using a unique Ukrainian technology of incremental launching and post-tensioning.
