Installation of a Japanese bridge in a frontline district is complete, and traffic is now open!
The bridge is located on an evacuation route to one of the region’s largest cities, which faces near-daily enemy shelling. As the old bridge was in a state of disrepair, the decision was made to install a temporary bridge crossing nearby.
Japan supported the construction by providing a set of steel structures for the span assembly as humanitarian aid. In Japan, these prefabricated bridges are used as temporary bypasses during major infrastructure repairs. The main advantages of this technology are the speed of installation and the ability to create a crossing of any required length.
We are grateful to our Japanese partners — the installation process went smoothly and strictly followed the provided instructions. In addition to assembling the bridge, the approach roads were constructed and the riverbanks were reinforced.
Traffic is now open on the new bridge, and the old, hazardous bridge has been closed off.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
