We are completing the modernization of two border crossing points on the border with Moldova: Lisne – Seici and Maloyaroslavets 1 – Ceadîr-Lunga.
Our company began upgrading Bessarabia’s border infrastructure back in 2021. Automagistral-Pivden carried out the major rehabilitation of an 18-kilometre section of the T-16-44 road connecting the settlement of Bessarabske with the Maloyaroslavets-1 border crossing point.
The modernization of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border crossing points itself started in 2024 in cooperation with international donors. During the first phase, road pavement was rehabilitated, road markings were applied, traffic signs were installed, and perimeter fencing and sanitary facilities were constructed.
This year, our company completed the second phase of the project, which included the installation of a canopy as well as modular facilities for staff work and rest. These improvements have created appropriate conditions for efficient border and customs control in line with modern requirements. External lighting systems, a new generator, pedestrian walkways, and emergency vehicle stopping devices have also been installed. Landscaping works have been completed, and the installation of air-conditioning units is currently being finalized.
At the same time, the full operation of the upgraded Lisne – Seici border crossing point will remain constrained without the rehabilitation of the access road T-16-44. This issue is currently being considered by the Recovery Service and regional authorities.
