Repairing the Strategic M-18 Highway in Zaporizhzhia

During the war, Automagistral-Pivden has been carrying out a number of projects in the region related to the protection of energy facilities. When the need arose to restore several sections of the M-18 highway, we stepped in to help.
The road runs south from Zaporizhzhia to Stepnohirsk, where Ukrainian forces are repelling constant enemy attacks. This route is crucial for the logistics of military, medical, and humanitarian supplies, as well as for evacuations.
Automagistral-Pivden was the only contractor that agreed to participate in the tender . No other company was willing to work in the frontline zone, where enemy guided bombs strike almost daily.
The project involves patchwork repairs on three sections, totaling 3.3 km. We are milling the damaged road surface, partially replacing the road base, and laying two layers of fine-grained asphalt and arranging the shoulders. The asphalt mix is being supplied from our company’s plant in the neighboring Dnipropetrovsk region.
The project employs 75 workers and 45 pieces of equipment. The work is scheduled to be completed next month.
