In the liberated territories of Kharkiv Oblast, along with energy workers, doctors, and social services, the “Automagistral-South” road units are also actively working.

One of the priority tasks is clearing and bringing the M-03 highway Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanskyi to passable condition. The route passes through Izyum and is the key artery of the region, connecting Kharkiv with the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.

M-03 – in the past, one of the important objects of “Automagistral-South”, the business card of our company in the Kharkiv region. As time has proven, the company made the road professionally and qualitatively: the road surface has withstood all possible and impossible tests. The road is generally in a satisfactory condition, but in certain sections there are damages and deformations caused by hostilities or the movement of military equipment. Therefore, in the near future, repairs will be carried out here with cards with a local replacement of the coating and base.

In addition, our operational crews are engaged in clearing roads of local importance. The city of Izyum was destroyed by almost 70%, the highways are covered with construction debris. In some areas, where the pavement is almost destroyed, which critically complicates the movement of transport with humanitarian aid, it is necessary to arrange a layer of milled material. 📍Also, in some locations, we build crossings across rivers and arrange entrances to crossings.

Thank you to all our employees who take part in the restoration of the infrastructure of the liberated Kharkiv Oblast. The war has not yet disappeared, the front line is nearby, work is often associated with danger. But we firmly know that this is our land, and we will do everything possible to restore peaceful life as soon as possible.

Currently, the local division “Automagistral-Pivden” is focused on the repair of dangerous sections on the T-14-18 highway Nizhankovichi-Sambir-Drohobych-Stry.

As a result of local destruction of the base of the road surface, asphalt concrete flows up to 15-20 centimeters high were formed on the highway. When hitting such an obstacle at high speed, the car can be thrown off the road.

Repair takes place according to the principle of maps. But so that the problem does not arise again, our masters not only cut out and replace the top layer of asphalt concrete, but also arrange a new layer of the base from SHPS.

Repair work was also carried out on the N-10 Lviv-Ivano-Frankivsk highway, where we had to concrete a section of the road before entering the bridge.

Operational maintenance work is an opportunity to prevent the further destruction of certain problem areas of highways and to guarantee safe traffic of motor vehicles.

The problem is already typical for routes driven by heavy machinery. The coating does not withstand the load. Repair involves the most widespread technology in wartime – replacement of the base and asphalt concrete covering with maps. That is, the most destroyed sections, which are in critical condition, are replaced.

The repair area is not large – 2 kilometers, something that really cannot wait until better times is being repaired.
On some strategic logistics routes, bridges cannot withstand the load. On one of them, the floor slab recently collapsed, our bridge builders installed a monolithic span structure and strengthened the artificial structure. Next to another bridge, which was also destroyed due to the movement of heavy equipment, our brigade arranged a detour.
Pothole repairs are almost constantly being carried out in various parts of the region.

The work of “Highway South” in the Dnipropetrovsk region shows that without constant professional care, it is impossible to ensure trouble-free logistics for the front.

During the war, road workers are in demand no less than energy workers or representatives of other areas of critical infrastructure.

 The bridge was destroyed in the first days of the Russian military invasion.
After the de-occupation of the region, a pontoon crossing was first arranged, after which the State Special Service of Transport built a temporary bridge crossing for two lanes of traffic with a safe zone for pedestrians. And the road workers arranged and asphalted the approach roads to the temporary bridge, marked them and installed road signs.
 Two-way traffic of vehicles weighing up to 60 tons is open on the bridge.
As a result of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 10 artificial structures on roads of state importance were destroyed in the Sumy region, 3 of which were restored.

Several runs were destroyed during the occupation of the region. The object was completely damaged.

The old structures were dismantled and a new 14 cm thick monolithic slab was installed on the beams, new sidewalk monolithic blocks are currently being installed.

The last stage is a two-layer asphalt concrete covering with a thickness of 11 cm and a barrier fence. New approaches to the bridge will also be built.
The works are planned to be completed in September.

Asphalt concrete works were completed yesterday. All that remains is the planning and backfilling of the roadside.
The bridge was completely destroyed by Russian troops during the deoccupation of the region. The detour route on local roads is approximately 27 kilometers. The entire flow of transit traffic from the T-19-10 route (Konotop-Buryn-Chumakove) moves along this route.
⚠️The local network could hardly withstand the load, the coverage was rapidly collapsing. Even before the war, it was planned to carry out major repairs of the bypass, after which to proceed to major repairs of the bridge over the Seim with a total length of 250 meters. But the war began.
✅Works on the repair of the bypass route began in mid-June. This is milling, correcting the profile with the addition of new material (ShPS) and placing a layer of fine-grained asphalt concrete.
1️⃣The length of the first repair section is 2.7 km.
2️⃣ The length of the second is 2.3 km.
At the same time, work continues at other facilities in Sumy Oblast.
❗️In total, 5 bridges on state roads were destroyed in the region. Instead of one of them, a temporary structure was built – our crews are arranging entrances to the crossing from two layers of the railway station.

It was here that the largest work on the restoration of the passage around the destroyed bridges was and continues to be.
From the very beginning, our company has been actively involved in the resuscitation of logistics in the region. Various works were performed.
At the moment, our crews work mostly on bridges – the main routes that connect the settlements of the region have been brought to passable condition. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you exactly where and what is being done. But we talked with project managers, foremen and team members. We found out how they work in this difficult time.
Almost all our interlocutors confirm: if you want to stay in the profession today, you must be ready for any job. Large-scale projects of “Great Construction” were stopped until the end of the war. That is why, for example, links for the installation of asphalt concrete are currently not in demand. You need to get to another, sometimes less, and sometimes more qualified job.
This is a guarantee that the employee will be constantly engaged.
Road workers are used to redeployment from object to object. This is one of the features of the profession. But today, mobility plays an even bigger role. For example, bridge builders from Lviv region are currently working in Chernihiv region.
“Automagistral-Pivden” has always paid great attention to training and improving the qualifications of personnel. Our principle is to cultivate specialists within the company. Give employees the opportunity to grow. Today, training, new skills and experience are integral components of robots during a crisis.
Many of those who work in Chernihiv Oblast have become truly versatile road masters who can be engaged for any type of work.
And of course, as a company we support highly motivated people. We help those who are ready to fight for work. Because we ourselves fight for any opportunity to work – we go to new regions, perform new types of work. We need a team of strong people with similar life principles. So we will definitely win!

According to him, a passenger bus service will be launched today through the new terminal.
Since the beginning of June in Krakow:
▪️ updated traffic lanes for both cars and trucks;
▪️ pavilions for customs and passport control were modernized;
▪️ the access road (A-4) near the point was expanded: the capacity for trucks was doubled;
▪️ a new bus terminal was built. It passes from 30 buses per day;
Also, the specialists of “Automagistrali-Pivden” performed a large volume of specific works!
✅In particular, we arranged communications, lighting, designed and installed a protective canopy 80 meters long, built 2 hangars for inspection of transport, installed a fence, arranged cobblestone sidewalks and performed a number of other auxiliary works.
✅It is important to mention that our company is also building parking lots for large vehicles heading to EU countries near the checkpoint.
🇺🇦🇵🇱The checkpoint was modernized as part of the “Open Border” project. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and President of Poland Andrzej Duda agreed to launch it.
“While the usual trade routes are blocked due to the occupation in the east and south of Ukraine, we are developing others in the west. The higher the throughput capacity of the Ukrainian-Polish border, the faster agricultural products and fuel and lubricants go,” noted Oleksandr Kubrakov.

The construction of two bridges at 151 and 170 kilometers has been completed
The 2-kilometer section of the reconstruction has been completed
Excavation has been completed on a 3-kilometer section of the new construction
On the last section, it remains to arrange the road structure and perform a number of auxiliary works.
Currently, works on strengthening the slopes and installation of the drainage system are ongoing. The last stage of the construction of the 3-kilometer section will start approximately at the beginning of September.
We are moving according to the schedule! It is planned to finish the work in October this year.
We would like to remind you that work on the 85-kilometer M3 highway “Kyshiniv-Dzhurdzhulesti” began in 2019. Our company has even built a production base in the city of Vulcanesti, where an asphalt concrete plant and a soil mixing plant are located. In 2022, 7 kilometers of the road will be built “from scratch”, an additional 4 kilometers will be expanded and auxiliary road construction will be planned.
The project in Moldova involves the creation of the accompanying infrastructure of the highway – new, modern car pavilions, lighting, footpaths, parking lots.
Currently, the first section of the project (km 96+800 — km 151+200) with a length of 55 km, including nine bridges, is almost completed.
On two other sections (km 151+200 — km 171+290) and km (179+650 — km 190+750), where reconstruction is planned, work is still ongoing.
Since the intensification of work in April of this year, almost fifty units of equipment have been additionally moved to Moldova. Currently, more than 150 units of specialized and automotive equipment are involved in the project.

Victory team

Kyiv region is the first region where our company resumed operations after the Russian invasion. Detours were built around destroyed bridges, temporary crossings. Roads were cleaned after de-occupation, emergency repairs were carried out, destroyed buildings were dismantled. They started rebuilding bridges.
Of course, the volume of work could not be compared with the pre-war period.
Not only the scope has changed, but also the specifics. In recent years, the company has performed huge volumes of asphalt concrete works. It was they who occupied the lion’s share of the total production.
Now everything has changed – during the war, no one will carry out medium or major repairs, not to mention new construction. The main task is to keep the road network in passable condition, restore traffic in places where artificial structures (bridges, overpasses) have been destroyed or damaged. After all, during the war in Ukraine, more than 320 bridges and overpasses were destroyed, most of them on public highways. Therefore, operators of road construction machines, road workers are almost not needed today. The profession of bridge builder became the most in demand. But this profession was in short supply even before the war. Today, there are not enough of them either, many are in the army and military personnel or have changed their profession altogether.

Therefore, today in the Kyiv region, professional road workers are quickly retrained and become no less professional bridge builders.On the M-06 highway, on the bridge over the Irpin River near Stoyanka, the team of master Maksym Berladin, which specialized in the installation of road traffic management equipment, earthworks and the preparation of the road base layers, is rapidly mastering the difficult task of bridge construction. The masters took full responsibility for the creation of temporary structures, such as access roads, a construction site, storage areas, and ramps for drilling machines. Work is being carried out on the installation of formwork, the production of reinforced frames, the concreting of the stops of the cone of bridges. They started to strengthen the cones of the bridge with monolithic concrete with the preparation of the base and preliminary reinforcement.
The guys joke: the only thing that makes them different from professional bridge builders is “the sky-high desire to perform bridge construction work at a faster pace, with diligence and a very conscientious attitude compared to those personnel for whom this is a regular routine job.”

On the M-03 highway, the brigade of the station chief Anatoliy Sazanskyi and master Oleksandr Bilyaev is working on the restoration of the bridge over the Trubizh River. Previously, it specialized in the installation of asphalt concrete coverings of roads and airfields. Now, for the first time in her life, she arranged a temporary crossing by filling a dam with mud and installing 7 branches of culverts with a diameter of 1.2 to 1.6 meters. The guys started the traffic on the temporary crossing and are operating it.

Now they have an even more difficult task – to arrange the cones of the bridge, to prepare the foundation for the arrangement of sleepers and transition slabs, to connect the bridge with the embankment.The team members say that there is a thrill in the construction and repair of roads that bridges do not have. When you are used to laying two thousand tons of asphalt concrete in a day and seeing what kind of road is literally being born before your eyes, it is quite difficult to adapt to the moderate pace and small volumes of work on bridges. There are too many types of work, specifics, and nuances. You just can’t drive like that. What’s more, every step is watched by attentive and strict laboratory engineers… But a new specialty always means new opportunities. The experience of building bridges will definitely come in handy when our brigades return to their usual work after the end of the war!

The bridge was completely destroyed by Russian troops during the deoccupation of the region. The detour route on local roads is approximately 27 kilometers. The entire flow of transit traffic from the T-19-10 route (Konotop-Buryn-Chumakove) moves exactly this way, passing a small surviving town on the way. The local network can no longer withstand the load, the coverage is rapidly collapsing. Even before the war, it was planned to carry out a major repair of the bypass, after which to proceed to a major repair of the bridge over the Seim with a total length of 250 meters. Our company had to do the work. But the war began.
Work on the repair of the bypass route began in mid-June. This is milling, correction of the profile with the addition of new material (ShPS) and arrangement of a layer of fine-grained asphalt concrete.
The length of the first section was 2.7 km.
Currently, work is already being carried out on the second section of the road of local importance О190205 Buryn-Zarichne, 2.3 km long.
At the same time, our bridge builders are participating in the restoration of one of the region’s bridges on the T-19-09 highway. We are installing a monolithic slab 14 cm thick, at the next stage we plan to install monolithic pavement blocks, an 11 cm thick asphalt concrete coating and a barrier fence. In total, 5 bridges on roads of state importance were destroyed in Sumy Oblast. So far, it is planned to restore two of them.
