“Automagistral-South” at BAUMA 2022: modern equipment for the reconstruction of Ukraine

The delegation of “Automagistral-Pivden” visited the BAUMA 2022 international exhibition of construction machinery, transport, equipment and mining machinery.

For the 33rd year in a row, the Munich trade and exhibition center Messe has been collecting the most advanced and innovative examples of construction machinery. Each of the world’s leading manufacturers, as always, tries to surprise and impress visitors. One of the main international trends is the abandonment of internal combustion engines. Excavators, rollers, concrete mixers, dump trucks and other battery-powered machines are now able to complete a work shift without recharging. At the same time, manufacturers do not forget to improve traditional engines – they become even more economical, powerful and environmentally friendly. The trend towards increasing the role of artificial intelligence continues. The functionality of the operator is narrowing, more and more complex processes are performed by automated control systems.

This significantly increases the efficiency and quality of construction works. As a result of the war, the infrastructure of Ukraine suffered huge destruction, a large amount of work carried out by “Automagistral-South” is related to the dismantling of damaged structures. Therefore, our delegation was particularly interested in modern machinery and equipment for dismantling and processing elements of destroyed structures. It was also important for us to familiarize ourselves with the tunnel construction equipment.

After the end of the war, this direction will be one of the most promising in Ukraine. As noted by the general director of our company, Mykola Timofeev, “Automagistral-Pivden” has always been a leader in the introduction of new technologies on the Ukrainian market. We continue to keep our finger on the pulse, follow innovations, trends, the appearance of new models of technology. All this will definitely be needed for the post-war reconstruction of the country. It is symbolic that the exhibition in Munich began almost simultaneously with the fifth German-Ukrainian business forum, where the concept of rebuilding Ukraine was discussed. The main message of the event is that it is necessary to prepare specific long-term recovery plans, in which Germany and German business, in close cooperation with Ukrainian partners, intend to play one of the key roles.
