International Highway M-09 Ternopil – Rava-ruska Border Checkpoint – Grebenne

The M-09 highway is a route between Kyiv and Warsaw and part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). The reconstruction section (from the village of Volia-Vysotska to the border checkpoint) covers 33.4 km. Works are ongoing in 2024–2025.

The project is financed by the EBRD. It includes widening the road outside settlements by adding an additional lane; construction of acceleration/deceleration lanes near bus stops, intersections, and access roads; replacement of the pavement structure with three layers of asphalt concrete. It also includes demolition and reconstruction of 6 bridges, construction of a roundabout, drainage systems, 4 wildlife crossings, sidewalks, bike lanes, and noise barriers.
