Vita-Poshtova Interchange: Final Stage of Concrete Casting for the Monolithic Bridge Deck Slab

At the Vita-Poshtova interchange on the M-05 Kyiv–Odesa Highway, we are carrying out the second stage of concrete casting for the overpass.
During the first stage, the monolithic deck slab of the central span section was constructed using 560 m³ of concrete, followed by the post-tensioning of the slab.
To prevent moisture loss during the concrete curing process, the slab surface was treated with a special curing compound. This ensured that the monolithic structure cured under conditions as close as possible to those of a precast concrete production facility.

At the second stage, the concrete casting of the side section on the Southern Cemetery side was completed earlier this week. In the coming days, we plan to complete the side section on the Boyarka side, with 330 m³ of concrete to be placed for each section.

Meanwhile, work continues on the central span section, where waterproofing beneath the monolithic sidewalks is being installed, kerb blocks and curbs are being mounted, and reinforcement cages are being prepared for the next concrete pours.

As a reminder, in the summer of 2025 our company completed the first stage of the Vita-Poshtova interchange project, including the tunnel and the roundabout on the Boyarka side. This infrastructure has enabled drivers to safely make left turns and U-turns towards Kyiv. Upon completion of the second stage of the interchange—the loop ramp—drivers travelling towards Kyiv will also be able to safely turn towards Boyarka.
